Analytics and reporting for a auto body shop
Most shops cannot answer the one question that matters: what did a booked repair cost to get, by channel. The management system tracks the repair. The ad accounts track clicks. Nothing joins them, so the owner ends up judging marketing by whether the lot looks full.
The fix starts at intake. A required source field on the repair order, filled in by whoever writes it, with a short fixed list: Google search, map, Facebook, referral, agent, repeat customer, drive-by. Then a tracking number on the ads and on the Google profile so calls attribute themselves.
The monthly report should fit on one page. Calls and forms by channel, answered against missed, estimates written, repairs booked, cost per booked repair by channel, and the DRP versus customer-pay split. Include average cycle time, because it is a marketing number too. A shop running a fourteen-day cycle time cannot absorb the volume its ads are buying, and the reviews will say so.
Two weeks in, working means source data is captured on every repair order and you have a first read on which channel is paying.
